Hot Stone Treatment

This treatment is very popular in the spa industry. It consists of working not only on the body, but also on emotional balancing. The treatment is performed using smoothed volcanic stone that is warmed in a special water heater. The reason for using this type of stone is that it holds the heat for prolonged periods of time, but please be assured, you never have the stone stay in contact with the skin for long as it can burn. The therapist works with the stones in their hands, until they are of a suitable temperature to be able to work with over the clients skin. It has been proven that this treatment is 10 times more powerful than a regular massage, but unlike the norm, the massage you receive in this treatment is not as flowing as the therapist needs to move between the heater and the client to collect the appropriate stones for areas being worked on. This therapy is pure heaven and I would recommend it to anyone who's able to have it done.

As with any complimentary treatment there are some contra-indications to having it performed. A full consultation will be held prior to the session to highlight any concerns.
